"I want to first apologize that you are having to deal with this entire situation and let you know that if it were up to our office, we would keep your policy at the same price. We wouldn’t want to jeopardize our reputation by doubling someone’s insurance out of the blue. Unfortunately, this was caused because the initial information we were given was not accurate, which led to additional questions from State Farm. This new information was sent to State Farm, and they updated the pricing accordingly. I know your account manager called to explain this, but it appears you didn’t want to continue the conversation, and we weren’t able to get to that part. We understand this because if I got a call about my insurance going up after we had agreed on a price, I would also be very upset. This is likely why the whole ordeal felt like you were “misled,” but in reality, this is how all insurance companies operate. If the correct information is not received upfront, insurance companies have the right to update the premium to what it should have been initially. We were trying to review this with you, and we are still here to discuss the information and the decision that was made. At the end of the day, we take full responsibility for what happened. It’s our name tied to your policy, and while we can’t go back in time to fix this, we will be sending you something in the mail as a small token of how much we regret that this happened to you. We are on your side and will always be here for you. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you still need anything, we are here to help. You trusted us, and we will do everything we can to earn that trust back."
